Role Summary:
Reporting to the Process Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) General Foreman, the Process Control Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a reliable process control system and assisting in the training of E&I personnel. 

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing PLC & Scada programming including  associated networked equipment's
  • Maintaining the availability, reliability and efficiency of the Scada System
  • Developing and implementing procedures that ensures safety, environmental  and high maintenance standards are attained.
  • Liaising with the procurement department to ensure all necessary Scada, PLC and other resources are available to ensure process plant control system integrity.
  • Ensuring project programming, hardware modifications as well as maintaining back-ups recovery programs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all modification to the process control system.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications and Skills:
As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

  • A degree with a minimum of 6 years' experience in process control and instrumentation with at least 3years experience with Allen Bradley and or SLC, Control logic programmable logic controllers
  • Must have good working knowledge with PLCs and SCADA control systems,
  • Must have good computer skills especially in maintenance planning systems – Ellipse/MIMS, Excel, Citect Scada. Database experience will be an added advantage.  
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate strong supervisory skill with good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must have good knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations relevant to the Mining Industry.

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Mechanical General Foreman, the Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for planning, utilizing and supervising mechanical maintenance works to ensure reliability and availability of plant equipment to ensure effective production. 

Responsibilities:
The Successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
    • Develop preventive measures to reduce equipment breakdowns
    • Increase reliability and availability of plant equipment
    • Create safe conditions for maintenance works
  • Planning, scheduling and supervising mechanical work as required, including:
    • Breakdown tasks and resources
    • Planned tasks and resources
    • Shutdown tasks and resources
    • Determine shutdown critical paths activities
  • Supervision of equipment rebuilds and repairs to:
    • Material handling equipment
    • Ball and Sag mills
    • Slurry and water pumps including reticulation systems
    • Agitators, gearboxes and hydraulic drives
    • Screens and chutes
  • Contractor management
    • Ensuring best suppliers of labor and materials are used and rates adhered to
    • Liaising with the procurement department to ensure work orders, service orders, tracking purchases are completed
    • Managing invoices and payment approvals.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications and Skills:
As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

  • BSc/Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the process plant or similar environment.
  • Must have thorough Knowledge of Computer Maintenance management System (CMMS)
  • Must have strong communication , supervisory skills and the ability to prioritize jobs
  • Must have good  computer skills – Ms Office suite
  • Must have the ability to  interpret engineering drawings  
  • Must be familiar with Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) techniques, such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography and Oil Analysis is desirable
  • Must have basic experience in general welding and fabrication
  • Knowledge and experience with Reliability Center Maintenance – top ten (10)analysis of breakdown is also required.

Job Description

You will be responsible for 1st level routine, preventative and curative maintenance of all our ICT Systems (Hardware, Software, Networks environment)

Key Accountabilities

Support daily Server operations and management of IT Security Infrastructure

  • Administer the  IT security system infrastructure components on day-to-day basis
  • Support virtual windows server environment and the directory systems
  • Basic support for day-to-day basis for the VoIP network

Key Activities / Decision Areas

  • Provides 1st and 2nd Level support services to users by addressing problems or issues involving enterprise LAN infrastructure through the Help Desk function
  • Provides 1st and 2nd level technical support to users by answering questions and isolating problems: Answers customer calls in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Keep up to date information on all open, work-in-progress and assigned incidents.
  • Responsible for the daily 1st level operational support for all security and systems on corporate LAN and WAN
  • Create, test and implement initial configuration on windows servers and security appliances to meet specified network and project requirements.
  • Maintains an on-call status, as required, to respond to emergency situations that may arise during or outside of normal business hours.
  • Support the management of the Microsoft Infrastructure Platform (Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Exchange Server, File Server and the
  • Assists peers with general server maintenance of other Microsoft Windows servers.
  • Monitors mail servers, replication, and mail routing.
  • Researches problems, resolves issues, provides root cause analysis and documents findings.
  • Takes corrective action as required (e.g. restarts mail services on a server) ensuring reliable service levels.
  • Periodically performs system updates and other systems functions during off-peak hours, such as evenings and weekends
  • Any other assignment as prescribed by network and security Systems
  • Specialist, window and Messaging administrator  or Head of IT
  • Provided resolution to technical/ administration issues for customer subscribed services through ticketing system.
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot the backbone network and last mile canopy network.
  • Work on Cisco related backbone tasks and projects.
  • Configure and maintain network equipments appliances and server clusters.
  • Install and configure Cisco and other routers, appliances and servers.     
  • Maintain documentation on charges or additions made on the network, prepare training material, and develop operations procedure in consultation with Head of department.
  • Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot the client service related issues remotely or onsite to his/ her best capacity.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Certificate or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology , Electrical  and Telecommunication Engineering or Related Areas
  • Professional Certification: CCNP, CISSP/Security+ or CCNA security,  MCITP , CCNA Voice  etc will be an Added Advantage.
  • 2- 3 years of  Network Security and windows servers experience in an Enterprise Network,
  • Knowledge in Hardware, Software and Networks
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
