EngenderHealth is seeking expressions of interest from highly-qualified candidates in for the position below. All positions are based in Accra with periodic travel outside Accra. Interested candidates MUST be nationals from Ghana or possess a valid work authorization.
Reporting To: Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor
Scope of Position
  • The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work closely with M&E Advisor and other program staff in various M&E activities including design, data collection, entry, analysis, report writing of program performance and dissemination of evaluation findings.
  • S/he will assist with coordination of evaluation and monitoring activities in the field ensuring that data are used for decision making and program improvement.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Country Director, M&E Advisor and other program staff in writing project reports, documenting and disseminating lessons learned and best practices for improving services.
  • Participate in all M&E activities including designing and implementation of studies/assessments, developing data collection instruments, preparation of dummy tables, data entry, analysis and report writing.
  • Work with program staff to implement project activities and monitor to track performance.
  • Assist the M&E Advisor with the coordination of M&E activities in the field ensuring that data are used for decision making and program improvement.
  • Perform other program duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualification
  • At least a Master's degree in Public Health, Demography, Statistics, Sociology or related field.
Other Relevant Experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in report writing and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in monitoring, evaluation and research related to reproductive service delivery or child health for at least five years.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis programs e.g. Microsoft Access, SPSS, STATA, or other comparable programs.
  • Computer literate including knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel in-country about 30% of the time.

Our Client is a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company in Europe with a focused portfolio on world-class assets in West Africa, East Africa and South America.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of EHS Advisor:
Job Purpose:
Manage EHS aspects of all activities for the Company's Production Operations, Field Development Projects and in-field interfaces with Production Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project specific EHS management system documentation.
  • Visit offshore and onshore sites to ensure consistency of EHS standards and input to any incremental studies focused on EHS impact to existing production facilities.
  • Ensure that new operational/construction sites have approved EHS drive, standards and direction.
  • Drive the training and mentoring of productions operations and develop/manage project EHS induction, project EHS programmes and initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor project EHS KPIs and ensure appropriate EHS auditing and inspection
  • Monitor compliance with EHS policies & procedures and recommend corrective or improvement action.
  • Provide EHS input to Contracting & Procurement processes and develp/maintain project specific EHS documents.
  • Co-ordinate project risk assessment activities including maintenance of the Risk Register and make input to any project safety Studies e.g. HAZID, HAZOP.
  • Liaison with Regulators and other key external Stakeholders
  • Support implementation of incident reporting & investigation
  • Monthly compilation and reporting of EHS information and statistics for the project.
Required Skills or Experience
  • Tertiary level qualification in engineering or EHS related subject, preferably NEBOSH.  Minimum of 15 years oil and gas sector experience, 10 years EHS experience
  • Able to manage operational EHS activities in a Project Team environment.
  • Transfers knowledge and develops practices from across the company.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of technical EHS.
  • Able to operate at a high level of project management with commensurate communication and presentational skills.
  • Understands the impact of maintaining high EHS standards without compromise.
  • Sets direction, harnesses the talents and energies of team towards team goals
