0The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and World Cocoa Foundation have joined in an alliance to improve basic and vocational education in communities that base their livelihood on the production of cocoa under the Empowering Cocoa Households with Opportunities and Education Solutions (ECHOES) Alliance. The ECHOES project, led by the World Cocoa Foundation, works together with its implementing partners, Winrock International and World Education in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire.
Position Summary:
Winrock Ghana is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant to oversee its WCF ECHOES M&E efforts in Ghana and support other Winrock projects within Ghana if needed. This is a full time position based in Kumasi with frequent travel to cocoa growing communities and will report to the Winrock Ghana Country Coordinator based in Kumasi.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Winrock Ghana M&E system in collaboration with field team
- Conduct training of field staff in M&E tools and systems
- Manage data collection and analysis including the preparation and submission of monthly trackers, pre and post program surveys, and quarterly progress tables
- Review and provide feedback on all monthly field staff trackers and survey tools to ensure they are accurate
- Coordinate with the field team to ensure that all reports, photos and other verification materials are provided to the project on a timely and coordinated basis
- Liaise with the Winrock Ghana Country Coordinator and other field staff to ensure that program implementation meets projected disaggregated targets with emphasis on set indicators,
- Work closely with WCF M&E Specialist to integrate internal M&E systems into wider WCF efforts measure project progress and impacts
- Provide guidance on project IT needs and systems when requested
- Liaise with the Winrock Ghana Country Coordinator and other field staff to ensure that project activities are carrried out in a timely manner as stipulated in project approved work plan
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, or Statistics, required with interest and experience in community development
- 2-3 years of experience in international development related to monitoring and evaluation, and using ICT technologies
- Excellent ICT skills including advanced Excel and experience in database management
- Solid report writing and communication skills, and ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision to meet deadlines and highly meticulous and strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with modern cocoa growing techniques and the Ghanaian cocoa sector requested, but not required
