The University of Health and Allied Sciences Seeks Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has various teaching/academic opportunities in Ghana to hire Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, School of Public Health. UHAS was established by an Act of Parliament (Act 828 of December 2011) as a public university in Ghana. The main campus, including the central administration, is in Ho. A second campus is to be located in Hohoe. The University will run Bachelor of Science degree courses in health and allied sciences relevant to the health needs of the people of Ghana from September, 2012.

Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above position in the Departments of the following Schools:

School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences:

  • Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
  • Department of Family and Community Health
  • Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management
  • Department of Population and Behavioural Sciences 

Required Skills or Experience

  • Applicants must be holders of PhD, or Mphil, in specified areas of Public Health or experienced Public Health Physicians with specialization in specified areas
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research
