Location: Accra Job Status: Full-time Salary: Attractive Education: BSc Experience: 3 years Job Expires: 18 Jun, 2012 Job Description YOU WILL REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE PLATFORM ENGINEERING MANAGER  Key Responsibilities include the following: Optimise platform applications and servers to improve performance Scaling platform services Capacity planning Database administration Platform Security Critically analysing platform components and planning for their availability** Required Skills or Experience Requirements: Minimum of a BSc in Computer Engineering or BSc/BA in Computer Science from a recognized and accredited tertiary institution (MSc is a plus) Oracle/MySQL DBA Certification required for database administration role In-depth understanding of UNIX/Linux operating system security and application security required for platform security role 1-2 years working experience for Level I, 2-5 years experience for Level II Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux will be a significant advantage A strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive Experience architecting and managing large-scale software systems a significant advantage Strong analytical skills Excellent  troubleshooting and debugging skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Authorized to work in Ghana/Nigeria  Technical Skill Set: Programming experience Strong  Algorithms SQL experience a plus, MySQL a plus Linux/Unix Experience with a dynamic language (Perl/Python/PHP) a plus Locations: Asylum Down, Accra   Expected Start Date: June/July, 2012 How To Apply  Email to: jobs@rancard.com   Search for Other Jobs Here
