Perseus Mining seeks Training And Development Co-ordinator. We are a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold.

The Training and Development Coordinator, reporting to the HR & Administration Manager, will assist the HRAM to lead the HR and Admin Department in managing Training and Development of employees at Perseus (Ghana) Limited, Edikan Gold Mine near Ayanfuri.
The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-
- Advise HR & Admin. Manager on staff training and development matters;
- Develop training and development policies and procedures and implement a comprehensive training cycle involving identification of employee learning needs, design and execution of training programmes, and evaluation to determine the impact of training;
- Develop and implement human resource planning policies and procedures involving identification of high potential employees, design a succession planning system, and establishment of a career development system to systematically prepare people to assume higher responsibility;
- Identify learning needs, design and facilitate training sessions;
- Design and implement control systems and take corrective action to correct deviations;
- Maintain consultative and advisory relations with all departments of a career development system to systematically prepare people to assume higher responsibility; and
- Design a succession planning system and establishment of a career development system to systematically prepare people to assume higher responsibility; and
- Develop and train subordinates to ensure efficient performance of duties
The position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates' qualification and experience
Required Skills or Experience
- The successful applicant must possess Degree in Development or Social Science and minimum of 5 years' experience in similar position
- Considerable knowledge and practices of training and development are essential
- Must be computer literate; MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint etc
