University of Education, Winneba has planning jobs/vacancies in Ghana to hire Planning Officer. We were established as the tertiary component of the 1987 educational reform by the PNDC Law 322 by the merger of existing diploma-awarding colleges of education namely: Advanced Teacher Training College (Winneba), Advanced Technical Teachers' College (Kumasi), College of Special Education (Akwapim-Mampong), National Academy of Music (Winneba), St. Andrew's Agricultural Training College (Mampong Ashanti), School of Ghanaian Languages (Ajumako) and the Specialist Training College (Winneba). Since its establishment, the University has continued to uphold its responsibility of producing professional educators and conducting relevant research that will help inform the direction of development of education and educational policies. Since its establishment, the University has consciously and systematically expanded academic programmes that are offered depending on national needs. Currently there are nine Faculties, two Schools and one Institute. The academic departments are now 50 in number and together offer 92 undergraduate programmes and 77 postgraduate programmes. All the nine faculties run doctoral programmes in various departments. JOB SUMMARY Company: University of Education Industry: Education Category: Information Technology Location: Winneba Job Status: Full-time Salary: GH¢  Education: Master's Experience: 5 years Job Expires: 12 Apr, 2013 Job Description Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will: Collect, collate, analyse, interpret, disseminate and maintain statistical and demographic, data of staff, students and physical facilities; Produce a range of institutional statistics and undertake data manipulation, analysis; and interpretation to convert raw data into useful management information; Compile and analyse statistical data for use in general planning, strategic and analysis planning, budgeting, sundry management requirement and repository Monitor and evaluate the Corporate and Departmental Strategic Plans of the University; Prepare annual plans of the university for submission to government; Response to request from National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) and the National Accreditation Board (NAB); Provision of data-based information on various aspect of the university operations and Undertake planning - related investigations and studies; Required Skills or Experience Candidate seeking appointment as Planning Officer must possess a minimum of Masters degree in Planning/Statistics with Computing or equivalent professional qualification in the relevant field.
