Responsibilities: The Successful candidate will be responsible for: Planning, scheduling and supervising mechanical works, including: Breakdowns Planned tasks Shutdown tasks and determining shutdown critical path activities. Supervising equipment rebuilds and repairs such as Ball and SAG mills. Slurry and water pumps including reticulation systems. Agitators, gearboxes and hydraulic drives. Screens and chutes and Material handling equipment. Supervising mechanical technicians as well as contractors. Required Skills or Experience Qualifications and Skills: As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience: A BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in the process plant/Fixed Plant. Must have good knowledge of defect elimination methodologies and their interpretation. Must have thorough knowledge of computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and MS Office Suite. Must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings, prioritize and communicate effectively Must be a team player, problem solver coupled with strong leadership skills. Must have experience in condition-based maintenance (CBM) techniques, such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography and oil analysis are highly desirable. Must have strong skills in general fabrication and welding. Ability to work on crushers and in mills is desirable.
