- Schedule drill rigs to work safely and productively;
- Schedule blast work and blast notification;
- Monitor and ensure that drill and blast activities are executed according to design;
- Ensure that blasting is conducted in a productive and environmental-friendly manner to meet EPA requirements
- Supervise drilling contractors and explosive suppliers to operate efficiently;
- Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time
Contract Duration: One-year renewable Required Skills or Experience Qualification and Required Competencies: - BSc. in Mining Engineering with at least Three (3) years experience in a mining company
- Must have a Blasting certificate of competency and Mine Captain Certificate;
- A proven knowledge and experience in open pit drill and blast operations;
- A sound knowledge in drill and blast software - shotplus and MS officer
- Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours to accomplish job requirements;
- Must have effective supervisory and people management skills;
- Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving licence
