Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold. JOB SUMMARY Company: Perseus Mining Ghana Industry: Mining Category: Engineering Location: Ayanfuri Job Status: Full-time Salary: GH¢  Education: BSc Experience: 4 years Job Expires: 27 Sep, 2012 Job Description Responsibilities: The successful applicant will report to the Chief Metallurgist and will have the following responsibilities: Ensure satisfactory documentation of all the safe operating procedures of the progress department Assist in providing technical assistance/training to the plant operators in the areas of sampling and sample handling Assist operation staff in optimizing plant performance as necessary Monitor metallurgical parameters to ensure maximum gold recovery Assist in reagents monitoring and usage levels in all the sections of the plant Train plant operators on basic metallurgical practices - correct way of sampling, monitoring of control parameters etc Oversee metallurgical test work programs and assist in implementing process changes to enhance plant performance Maintain good documentation of all safety issues of the process department Assist with the development of operational budgets and forecasts  Remuneration: Attractive conditions of service will be offered Required Skills or Experience Must possess BSc in Mineral Engineering/Chemical Engineering Minimum of 4 years working experience on a process plant Flotation experience will be an advantage Must be able to drive and possess a Valid Ghanaian driving license How To Apply Applications will be received by email: hr.pmgl@perseusmining.com.gh with Plant Metallurgist in the subject line of the email Search for Other Jobs Here
