Perseus Mining has engineering jobs in Ghana to recruit for Mechanical Engineer. We are a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold. JOB SUMMARY Company: Perseus Mining Ghana Industry: Mining Category: Engineering Location: Ayanfuri Job Status: Full-time Salary: GH¢  Education: University Degree Experience: 6 years Job Expires: 27 Sep, 2012 Job Description Responsibilities: The successful applicant will report to the Senior Project Engineer and will have the following responsibilities: Understand the implications of Ghanaian mine safety regulations with respect to engineering design and construction activities on mine sites Ensure "Safety in Design" principles are adopted within the engineering design groups Assist to develop the project execution plan for the plant expansion Maintain full expansion of project schedules Provide key site inputs into detailed design Review construction methodology and provide key inputs into the development of this strategy Manage Edikan Gold Mine Capital projects (outside expansion) Manage procurement of materials and equipment for operation projects  Remuneration: Attractive conditions of service will be offered Required Skills or Experience Must possess Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent Minimum of 6 years of discipline in a similar role Must understand quality control Experience in project management and coordination, planning and management of project resources Knowledge in budgeting, estimating and cost control is an advantage Must be a holder of Ghanaian Driving License How To Apply Applications will be received by email: hr.pmgl@perseusmining.com.gh with Mechanical Engineer  in the subject line of the email Search for Other Jobs Here
