Afram Rural Bank Limited has job openings in Ghana to recruit Internal Auditor. We are located at Kwahu Tease in the Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana. We have embarked on a growth strategy covering deposit mobilisation, development of ICT infrastructure, human capital development, treasury management, microfinance, 'Susu' banking etc throughout the branches of the bank. To be able to do this effectively and also meet a regulatory requirement, we need the services of an astute Internal Auditor to pursue the Internal control objectives of the bank. The purpose of this appointment is to carry out internal control programmes and support the bank's units and inform management of the extent to which operational controls are in place and being implemented under the direction of the internal control unit. You will conduct investigations into all matters as directed by the General Manager and the Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities: Plan, complete and report on internal control programmes undertaken within agreed time frame To make recommendations for improvements in internal control procedures and programmes To provide guidance to branches of the bank on control procedures To verify that the bank's operational and accounting controls are in place and working properly To monitor control findings and follow-up on remedial actions To debrief management on branches control findings and to ensure procedures are in place to safeguard the bank's assets To investigate frauds and irregularities to prevent recurrence Contributes to the control of risks and operational efficiency Contributes to the development of internal control programmes NB: Also, you will undertake any other jobs that may be assigned by the Board of Directors and or the General Manager.
